Job Description
For one of our major projects in Adelaide, we are seeking an experienced and commercially focussed HR IR Manager to lead the HR and Industrial Relations function and partner with project leadership to drive workforce performance and project success.
Reporting to the Project Leadership Team, the HR IR Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of Human Resources. This role is responsible for developing and executing people strategies that support project objectives, ensuring compliance with Australian employment and industrial legislation, mitigating workforce risks and fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the HR function for a Mega Project, providing strategic direction, governance, and operational leadership across all people-related activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Act as the Sr. HR Leader ad trusted advisro to the Project Director and Leadership team
- Develop and excute the project HR strategy, including workforce planning, talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, succession planning
- Lead all workforce mobilization and staffing activities
- Build, lead, coach and develop a high-performing HR team
- Provide Leadership and oversight for Employee Relations and Industrial Relations, including labour relations planning, employee engagememt strategies, workforce risk management
- Serve as escalation point for complex, sensitive and high-risk HR and employee relations matters
- Partner with Project Leadershp to drive workforce capability and organizational performance
- Leade workforce planning
- Oversee and ensure consistent application of HR policies
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, CoE, Payroll and Project Services team
- Partner with Project Quality manager
- Conduct and oversee HR field audits
- Lead HR training, leadership coachinh, and capability-building initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employees and other stakeholders
- Drive and Lead continuous improvement of HR practices
- Ensure compliance with Fluor's HSE and Ethical Business standards.
Basic Job Requirements
- Bsc degree in Human resources, Industrial relations, Business, Law or related disciplines
- 16 years of relevant HR or Industrial Relations experience, preferably within Construction, Mining, Energy, Infrastructure, Engineering or major project enviroments
- Demonstrated experience managing Industrial Relations within complexed, unionized workforces
- Strong knowledge of Australia employment legislations, Fair work requirements, enterprise bargaining and industrial relations frameworks
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders
- Stakeholder management, negogiation, communication and conflic resolution skills
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical capabiliyu and risk management experience
- Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams
