Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Controls Specialist to join our team and support critical project execution activities. This role is essential for ensuring accurate cost and schedule control, maintaining project integrity, and supporting successful delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in project controls systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Project Coding Structures to ensure control and integrity of work as defined by the contract.
- Accumulate and compile accurate cost management data to prepare the project budget and update project progress.
- Develop cost control and scheduling procedures, execution plans, and business plans for the project.
- Participate in weekly project cost reviews and schedule meetings.
- Develop and implement a basic change management system for engineering and construction.
- Develop and maintain management, project, and control-level schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years if non-degreed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess practical experience in the use of the automated cost or schedule management systems
- Having leadership roles on various projects is preferred
- May need to travel internationally for project assignments and in support of business related matters
