Job Description

​​​​​​A results‑driven Lead Piping Engineer responsible for delivering high‑quality engineering solutions, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring safe, cost‑effective execution of brownfield and greenfield projects. The role provides technical leadership, manages engineering deliverables, and supports project success through strong coordination, problem‑solving, and adherence to international standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead piping engineering for brownfield, greenfield, revamp, and operating facility projects.

  • Apply cost‑competitive execution methods to develop efficient and economical project solutions.

  • Develop and review specifications, design criteria, scopes of work, and execution plans.

  • Oversee piping layouts, equipment arrangement, routing optimization, and constructability.

  • Perform and verify engineering calculations, specify equipment, and resolve technical issues.

  • Conduct site surveys, field verification, tie‑in identification, and plant modification assessments.

  • Review vendor documentation and coordinate resolution of technical discrepancies.

  • Lead and mentor piping engineers and designers to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support integrated project execution.

  • Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, risk assessments, and MOC processes.

  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco, SABIC, ASME, API, and international standards.

  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup.

  • Review and approve drawings, specifications, and other engineering deliverables.

  • Interface with clients, vendors, construction teams, and project stakeholders.

  • Promote continuous improvement, quality assurance, and engineering excellence.

  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited engineering degree (4‑year or global equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant industry experience; professional certification/registration preferred.

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with management, clients, vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong technical proficiency required to perform discipline‑specific engineering tasks independently.

  • Ability to interpret and apply regulations across local, regional, and national codes, standards, and guidelines.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under time‑sensitive project conditions.

  • Professional memberships in relevant technical societies (preferred).

  • Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, including material availability and cost considerations.

  • Experience in effort‑hour estimating and forecasting staffing needs for engineering activities.

  • Hands‑on field experience supporting construction, site verification, and problem resolution.

  • Intermediate computer skills
