Job Description

Fluor is seeking a SAP S/4HANA Payroll Systems Integrator to work remotely as a member of the Finance Business Process Integration (FBPI) team. The SAP Payroll Systems Integrator will report to the Finance Director supporting our global enterprise payroll systems and operations. This position serves as the Payroll Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME), linking functional and technical teams across Finance/Payroll, Human Resources (HR), and Information Technology (IT) to deliver payroll system solutions and business process efficiency.

 

Fluor is on a transformational journey to upgrade our SAP ECC 6.0 system to S/4 HANA private cloud platform to modernize our system landscape. The ideal candidate will combine deep payroll acumen, system implementation experience, and a passion for solving problems with scalable, technology-driven solutions.

 

The position is responsible for evaluating, implementing, testing, and integrating SAP solutions resulting from production support needs, business growth initiatives, regulatory requirements, process improvements, and enterprise transformation projects.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide second level customer support to analyze global SAP payroll and labor/timesheet systems. Collaborate with cross-functional SMEs across Finance/Payroll, HR, and IT to trouble shoot production issues and resolve system defects
  • Provide operational support, manage data mapping, and resolve integration and posting errors between HR, payroll, and financial modules
  • Provide support moving global legacy payroll systems to SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
  • Identify and recommend process optimization and automation opportunities that improve payroll and labor processes, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement system changes following IT change management policies and the integrated build schedule
  • Host/facilitate discovery meetings with local Finance/Payroll and HR stakeholders to gather requirements, prepare documentation, determine the appropriate build schedule, approve test plans, facilitate/perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), review and approve test results to ensure business, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements are met
  • Collaborate with internal IT architects, developers, QA teams, and/or external system integration partners, and third-party payroll software vendors to deliver scalable and compliant Finance/Payroll system solutions
  • Evaluate, manage, and communicate the downstream impact of system changes with various stakeholders, such as: organization change management, education, work process changes, UAT, updates to security job roles, training, cutover/go-live tasks, and post implementation support
  • Partner with global team members and stakeholders working in different time zones across the US, Canada, India, Philippines, and other countries
  • Other related duties may be assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in finance, accounting, computer information systems, or related field and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and direct related experience equal to twelve (12) years
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders  
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job  
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines  
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner   

Other Job Requirements

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) including legacy SAP ECC HCM
  • Experience with payroll operations, compliance reporting, and processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Experience with Union Payroll support, processing, and remittances
  • Experience with Fiori based Employee Self Service applications
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable regulatory, statutory, and compliance requirements across local, state/provincial, and federal/national jurisdictions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences includes but not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent interviewing and listening skills
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
  • Ability to travel for business trips, approximately 5-10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eight (8) years of related work experience in Payroll, Payroll Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology fields
  • Experience with SAP-CATS or other timekeeping systems, absence types, and activity types.
  • Experience implementing, upgrading, or integrating internal or external payroll systems
  • Experience with complex or global payroll organizations involving multi-entity, multi-office, and shared services environment
  • Experience working within SOX-compliant environments, supporting internal and external audits, and implementing effective financial controls

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $108,000.00 - $201,000.00
