Job Description

Fluor is seeking a SAP S/4HANA Project Systems Integrator to work remotely as a member of the Finance Business Process Integration (FBPI) team. The SAP S/4HANA Project Systems Integrator will report to the PBS Director for Project Execution in FBPI primarily supporting Project Financial Compliance – Project Structures, Revenue Recognition, Customer Invoicing, Accounts Receivable and the Project Monthly Close. In addition, the SAP S/4HANA Project Systems Integrator will work closely with others in FBPI to understand how other Finance disciples integrate with Project Financial Compliance. This position is the subject matter expert linking functional and technical teams across various modules to support Project Financial Compliance – Project Controls, AP, Labor, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain and Corporate Finance.

 

Fluor is on a transformational journey to upgrade our SAP ECC 6.0 system to S/4 HANA private cloud platform to modernize our system landscape. The ideal candidate will combine deep financial acumen, system implementation experience, and a passion for solving problems with scalable, technology-driven solutions. The position is responsible for implementing and integrating changes to/from the S/4HANA PS/SD/FI modules typically arising from production issues/defects, new business growth, new software initiatives/upgrades, internal policy changes, and/or external changes in local regulatory compliance.

 

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Knowledge transfer with the current FBPI Project Execution members for comparative insights between current SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA PS/SD/FI Modules, along with potential changes in work processes
  • Participating in S/4HANA detail design workshops focused on Project Financial Compliance
  • Recommendations for project data conversion strategies from ECC 6.0 to S/4HANA
  • Equate the current reporting landscape (ECC 6.0 and Business Warehouse) for project-based reporting into the S/4HANA Analytics Cloud
  • Create and maintain end user S/4HANA Desk Top Procedures
  • Provide End User Support
  • Formal Education & Training to the PBS Global Users
  • Provide second level customer support to analyze system issues/defects associated with the PS/SD/FI modules as they relate to Project Financial Compliance. Collaborate with other cross functional subject matter experts to trouble shoot issues/defects and align on recommended technical solutions
  • Implement system changes in accordance with IT change management policies following the integrated build schedule
  • Host/facilitate discovery meetings as required with PBS in the local offices to gather system change requirements, prepare documentation, determine the appropriate build schedule, approve test plans, facilitate/perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), review and approve test results to ensure business and regulatory compliance
  • Evaluate, manage, and communicate the downstream impact of system changes with various stakeholders, such as: organization change management, education, work process changes, user acceptance testing (UAT), updates to security job roles, training, cutover/go-live tasks, and post implementation support
  • Assist end users in current ECC 6.0 with error resolution
  • Assist with the current Project Month/Quarter Close work processes
  • Other related duties may be assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in in Accounting, Business or Finance
  • Eight (8) or more years of work-related experience Engineering & Construction (E&C) Industry with three (3) or more years of hands on experience with S/4HANA – PS/SD/FI Modules:
    • Customer Invoicing
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Revenue Recognition specific to E&C Industry
    • Project Structures
    • SAP Analytical Cloud (SAC) and Reporting
    • Master Data – Company Codes, GL Accounts, Profit Centers etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders  
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job  
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines  
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner   

Other Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 usage
  • Ability to apply practical application of the PBS & Finance Practices and work processes (Project Financial Compliance) into S/4HANA system solutions
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms to non-technical personnel and listening skills
  • Teamwork mindset – combines ideas and knowledge to produce strong outcomes
  • Multi-task with strong prioritization of the deliverables to achieve deadlines – flexible to changes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; pays attention to details and documents outcomes

  • Ability to support & virtually meet with end users globally as required in other time zones
  • Ability to travel for business trips, approximately 5-10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Implementation experience with S/4HANA – PS/SD/FI Modules
  • Conducted End User Training in S/4HANA
  • Project Data conversion from a legacy SAP version into S/4HANA
  • Month end close cycle
  • OECD Transfer Pricing Regulations for Cross Border Transactions
  • DASSIAN Contract Management and Billing
  • Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) Security
  • Working Knowledge of:
    • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • ASC 606 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers
    • Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) 404 Compliance
    • Audit requirements

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $191,500.00
