Job Description

Fluor is seeking a SAP S/4HANA Time Systems Integrator to work remotely as a member of the Finance Business Process Integration (FBPI) team. The SAP Time Systems Integrator will report to the Finance Director supporting our global enterprise time/labor systems and operations. This position serves as the Time Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) linking functional and technical teams across Finance (Time & Payroll, Project Business Services, FP&A), Project Controls, Construction, Human Resources (HR), and Information Technology (IT) to deliver labor system solutions and business process efficiency.

 

Fluor is on a transformational journey to upgrade our SAP ECC 6.0 system to S/4 HANA private cloud platform to modernize our system landscape. The ideal candidate will combine deep time recording and labor costing/posting acumen, system implementation experience, and a passion for solving problems with scalable, technology-driven solutions.

 

The position is responsible for supporting SAP CATS, including external third-party time tracking systems, quota accrual management, and Labor Costing. This role plays a critical role in data integrity, payroll readiness, automated quota accruals, and ensuring labor costs are seamlessly allocated to relevant financial objects.

 

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide second level customer support to analyze system issues/defects associated with the global SAP labor/timesheet systems. Collaborate with other cross-functional subject matter experts from Finance, Project Controls, Construction, HR, and IT to trouble shoot issues/defects and align on recommended technical solutions
  • Resolve accrual discrepancies, stuck time sheets, or system connection failures with external providers
  • Support the automated Labor Distribution posting process where CATS credits sender cost centers and debits receiver objects
  • Support reconciliations between recorded timesheet hours and actual labor rate distribution postings
  • Provide operational support, manage data mapping, and resolve integration and posting errors between HR, Payroll, and financial modules
  • Recommend solutions to improve time and labor processes to solve business challenges
  • Implement system changes following IT change management policies and the integrated build schedule
  • Host/facilitate discovery meetings with local Finance/Time & Payroll and HR stakeholders to gather requirements, prepare documentation, determine the appropriate build schedule, approve test plans, facilitate/perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), review and approve test results to ensure business and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with internal IT developers, QA testing team, and/or external system integration partners and third-party payroll software vendors to ensure the technical solutions developed will meet Finance/Payroll requirements
  • Evaluate, manage, and communicate the downstream impact of system changes with various stakeholders, such as: organization change management, education, work process changes, user acceptance testing (UAT), updates to security job roles, training, cutover/go-live tasks, and post implementation support
  • Partner with global team members and stakeholders working in different time zones across the US, Canada, India, Philippines, and other countries
  • Other related duties may be assigned

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in finance, accounting, computer information systems, or related field and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and direct related experience equal to twelve (12) years
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders  
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job  
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines  
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner   

Other Job Requirements

  • Experience supporting SAP Time Management, including work schedule rules, absence and attendance quotas, time evaluation schemas, and related payroll integration processes
  • Ability to support complex design of actual rate labor allocation models to ensure hours captured accurately to cost centers, internal orders, and WBS elements including variance analysis
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP FI/CO and SAP Project Systems (PS), including Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, WBS Elements, and Networks, with the ability to support labor costing, allocations, and related financial integration processes
  • Experience with Fiori based Employee Self Service applications
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable regulatory, statutory, and compliance requirements across local, state/provincial, and federal/national jurisdictions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences includes but not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent interviewing and listening skills
  • Ability to travel for business trips, approximately 5-10%
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Eight (8) years of related work experience in Payroll, Payroll Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology fields within the Engineering & Construction (E&C) industry
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) including legacy SAP ECC HCM
  • Experience implementing, upgrading, or integrating internal or external payroll systems
  • Experience with complex or global payroll organizations involving multi-entity, multi-office, and shared services environment
  • Experience working within SOX-compliant environments, supporting internal and external audits, and implementing effective financial controls

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $108,000.00 - $201,000.00
