Job Description
Civil/Structural EIT Responsibilities:
- Design and analysis of structures, buildings, foundations and piles.
- Work ranges from simple foundations and structures to complex structures, and dynamic considerations are frequently involved in dealing with vibratory equipment loads and earthquake forces.
- Design and analysis of roads and drainage.
- Coordination of Civil/Structural project components over the life of the project.
- Responsible for Civil/Structural engineering aspects on any given project.
- Involved in the total project early in career development; from preliminary site feasibility studies and basic design criteria through the actual design and construction of site layout, foundations, structures and buildings.

Civil / Structural Engineering new grads have several career path options with Fluor depending on the specific persons’ interest and aptitude:
- Develop into a Lead Civil / Structural Engineer responsible for completing engineering and design on projects.
- Develop into a Lead Technical Civil / Structural Engineer responsible for technical oversight on projects.
- Develop into a technical Subject Matter Expert to support multiple projects and Fluor offices globally.
- Develop into Engineering Managers on projects directing multi-discipline engineering efforts
- Develop into Project Engineers and Project Managers.
Basic Job Requirements
- Graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 2025/2026.
- A Structural minor with courses in structural (concrete and steel) design.
- Geotechnical and civil courses are an asset.
- Field and design experience is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Fluor's projects are organized into task forces that operate as a team. Successful candidates will be working closely with other employees and efficient written and oral communication skills are essential to the job.

Compressed work schedule: The Fluor Canada offices work a compressed work schedule offering every second Friday off.
Salary is based upon experience. Salary Range: $56,000.00 - $95,000.00
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
