Job Description
Guide the timely issuance of reports to the appropriate levels of management, assuring clarity, conciseness, and the propriety of conclusions and recommendations
• Determine ways to improve the company's overall internal control environment, and make recommendations to the audit executive of improvement opportunities
• Provide leadership in the audit, finance and technology areas regarding audit findings and the support and advice necessary to effectively communicate the issues and their resolutions; keep Audit management informed of important issues
• Perform special investigations of a confidential, critical, and/or complex nature
• Provide functional and technical guidance to other audit team members by developing skills to identify business risks and the various approaches to audit them
• Communicate audit progress performed, clearly, concisely, and in a logical manner
• Maintain familiarity with company policies, procedures, systems, knowledge of current audit developments and a general awareness of areas affecting the company's business
• Coordinate and provide year end and other requested assistance to outside auditors
• Interface with other groups inside and outside the organization, senior management, other locations, project management, finance and Information Technology personnel, clients, vendors and auditors
• Assist in coordinating auditing effort with independent public accountants in order to provide adequate coverage without duplication
• Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback
• Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations
• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action
• Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Apply modern audit techniques and a transformation mindset to continuously enhance audit effectiveness and value delivery
• Translate strategic initiatives into actionable tactical and operational plans to advance the department’s strategic plan and mission
Basic Job Requirements
• An advanced degree in business, accounting, finance or information technology from an accredited institution or global equivalent preferred
• Applicable professional certification(s) or license(s)
• CPA, CIA, and/or CISA strongly preferred
• Sixteen (16) years of related audit/internal audit/finance/information systems experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computer based business applications
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Fluor's Enterprise Risk Management system and other financial systems
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to function in a highly professional and confidential manner, maintaining independence and objectivity from the areas audited, in compliance with internal auditing standards and ethics
• Requires a high degree of discretion and evaluation capabilities

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $166,500.00 - $309,500.00
