Job Description
In this site-based role you will be situated full time at one of our exciting project sites in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. You will be fully supported as you continue to build your skills, support a schedule driven project where the emphasis will be on people, client interface, development and management. This position typically provides administrative, human resources and other support to the project for all departments and personnel and is usually assigned to a larger-sized project or assists on extremely large-sized projects.
- Manage and coordinate daily HR functions for the project site, ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to in compliance with current legislation and aligned with corporate standards, and policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to site leadership in dealing with employee relations issues
- Manage the administrative functions of a project including office space, office services, payroll and human resources functions and as needed.
- Work with Fluor Human Resource team to conduct workplace investigations
- Partner closely with project leaders on expectations to ensure clear roles and responsibilities in all functions
- Participate in implementing and monitoring strategies to improve gaps on site in training, recruitment, and engagement of employees
- Work with Fluor Talent Acquisition team in the recruiting process and site onboarding of employees, contractors and consultant ensuring a positive experience
- Develop site communication processes and will work closely with project leaders to ensure effective execution.
- Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities and meet critical time deadlines

Basic Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field. CHRP designation or working towards the designation preferred.
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive human resources experience with practical hands-on application of key HR competencies
- Construction or project site experience highly desirable
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Able to demonstrate organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands and deadlines
- Excellent understanding and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and previous experience using SharePoint is a plus.

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills of a complex nature
- Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
- Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
- Experience using SAP SuccessFactors
