Job Description
**Position is contingent upon contract award**
Researches, develops, designs, tests, and evaluates electrical components, equipment, and systems, applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Designs, and may direct engineering personnel in, fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products. Other duties as assigned.
Basic Job Requirements
- Electrical Engineer Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET Accredited University
- At least five (5) years of experience in the following areas:

- Construction or facility maintenance

- Electrical power distribution systems, electrical generation, or control systems
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have or be able to obtain Tier I security clearance
Other Job Requirements
Must be proficient in reviewing and analyzing electrical power distribution systems, reviewing electrical drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.
AFIT WENG 200, WENG 400, WMGT 231, WMGT 417 required.
Requires computer skills and proficiency using email, Microsoft Office or specialized applications as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with airfield lighting systems and power generation equipment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with AFIT Courses WMGT 131, and WMGT 301 is desirable
- Prior military and/or contingency experience
