Job Description
This position is responsible for performing Cost Control activities and/or supervising part the overall Cost Control effort for various EPC projects. Acting as a key resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including: client representatives, Fluor management and functional leads.
• Support the total Cost Controls program on projects
• Support the Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures development to ensure that data is converted correctly from the original estimate to the Project Control system
• Analyze variances in cost or schedule performance against the plan, and communicate the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management
• Contribute to the proposal efforts for cost or commercial activities
• As Cost Specialist, review project profit recognition; provide evaluation of opportunities with management
• Maintain and update project staffing plans by gathering updates and coordinating with design and construction management
• Support Change Management Program
• Support Project Management decision making with cost analysis and forecasting
• Develop cash flow forecasts and analyze variances from plan
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six 6 (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Experience in Cost Controls for a large-sized project
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
• Participate in the development and implementation of training courses and mentoring of Project Controls personnel
Preferred Qualifications
• Significant technical knowledge and practical experience with applicable software systems, such as: SAP, and related Management tools for Cost, and Change Management
• Industry- specific experience in all facets and phases of a project: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Startup
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally for project assignments and in support of business related matters

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $83,000.00 - $154,000.00
