Job Description

  • Fully Remote (USA Only) Position.
  • The Specialist I applies a deep knowledge of designated Information Technology (IT) areas to diverse assignments while demonstrating strong attention to detail, focus, and initiative. This role requires a self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and maintain accuracy, while effectively collaborating with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and company management to drive results.
  • The position supports IT projects and may guide and share knowledge with other IT staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed planning, monitoring, and reporting processes, ensuring documentation meets quality standards for timely coordination and completion of project tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain Windows Server environments, including reviewing system logs, tracking hardware resource utilization, and proactively addressing performance issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
  • Perform regular server maintenance and patch management, applying Windows updates, software upgrades, and security patches to maintain compliance and minimize vulnerabilities.
  • Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities and configuration issues, implementing best practices for system hardening and ensuring adherence to organizational security standards.
  • Ensure that project deliverables and schedules are met by technical resources; proactively manage escalation to the appropriate IT resource management when needed; provide detailed feedback to technical resource manager on the performance of technical staff.
  • Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Leverage outside vendors, contractors, technical teams, and other departments to drive results while maintaining accuracy and accountability
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

• Must be able to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

 

 

  • Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain focus under pressure.
  • Experience in computer systems or Information Technology (IT) support, with technical proficiency in operating systems and programming languages.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Windows Server OS and SQL Server.
  • Experience with any of the following Deltek CostPoint, Hexagon SmartPlant, IBM Maximo.

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $83,000.00 - $154,000.00
