Job Description

Position Summary: 
The Talent Development Specialist I position supports the execution of the organization's talent and organizational development strategies. This role focuses on coordinating, administering, and implementing established training programs and performance management processes. It requires professional discretion, independent judgment, and advanced knowledge in the field, typically acquired through education and/or equivalent experience. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Training & Program Coordination 

Administer and coordinate talent development activities, including course registration, materials preparation, and attendance tracking. 

Support instructors with course logistics and administrative functions. 

Assist in the execution and maintenance of performance and talent management programs. 

Develop, implement, and evaluate foundational training programs. 

Maintain standard reports related to performance and development initiatives. 

Conduct professional development and career planning workshops. 

Promote and support use of Fluor’s knowledge management tools and resources. 

Manage employee enrollments through Fluor University. 

Talent Development Support 

Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and relevant technologies in organizational learning and development. 

Participate in professional development opportunities, including conferences and associations. 

Analyze challenges and recommend practical solutions aligned with organizational objectives. 

Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, meeting set deadlines. 

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and global standards. 

General Expectations 

Adhere to Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies. 

Meet expectations for attendance, punctuality, and workplace conduct. 

May require occasional travel to support business needs.

Working Conditions: 

Full-time hybrid role based in Greenville, SC. 

Standard business hours with potential overtime. 

May involve exposure to varying environmental conditions at project or client sites

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and no prior years of  work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements  

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors  

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job  

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines  

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner   

Other Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent  in Organizational Development, Organizational Learning and Development, Psychology, HR, Business, or related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Some education and/or experience in instructional design, facilitation, coaching, and adult learning theory

• Education and experience in the use of technology in conjunction with adult learning theories in the design and instruction of training courses -virtual instructor-led, online, and blended learning

• Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
