Job Description
- Develop and review project Scope of services and Facilities, Estimate and Schedule
- Knowledge of planning, scheduling and work reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with client, other disciplines, vendors, contractors promoting Client Service Excellence
- Develop the most cost-effective total project solution for execution of the discipline design work
- Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design
- Participate in project meetings & client review meetings
- Supervise and provide guidance/assistance to project designers
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
- Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
- Develop and review design specifications, including design criteria
- Knowledge of statutory design requirements, grounding, lighting, cabling/wiring, motors, conduits, trays, trenches, panels, DBs, Hazardous area classifications/ locations.
- Knowledge of Smart plant 3D/ PDMS / Revit, Smart plant review & CAD software.
- Perform advanced design calculations (lighting, cable tray/ trench sizing, cable sizing , voltage drop, cable pulling, panel board and breaker sizing, and junction box sizing)
- Checking & guiding the designers to prepare & issue design layouts and schedules with quality and within schedule ( substation / lighting / cable tray / trench / grounding/ electric tracing layouts , cable schedule , interconnection diagram , Schematic /elementary diagrams etc )
- Review / Checking of 3D model , participate in model review and guide designers for design development.
- Squad Check of Vendor and internal drawings, providing inputs to other department.
- Knowledge of electrical Installation details & its use in various location of plant.
- Provide field assistance
Basic Job Requirements
• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or global equivalent in applicable field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
