Job Description
- Working knowledge of 3D and 2D tools (S3D / Revit/ PDS / PDMS / AUTOCAD / Smart sketch / MicroStation / SPR)
- 3D Modeling of Cable trays, cable trench / Duct bank, Conduits, Electrical Equipment, Light fixtures, receptacles and various types of supports.
- 2D drawing extraction from 3D software.
- Preparation of Electrical layouts such as substation layout, Lighting, Grounding & lightning protection, Cable tray, Cable trench and Hazardous Area Classification.
- Sizing of cable trays and trenches
- Preparation of BOM (Bill of Material) of various layouts.
- Client Model review & Tag Closer.
- Interdisciplinary coordination and Clash Resolution.
- Squad checks of vender GA drawings.
- Preparation of Lighting Calculation Reports & Block Diagram.
- Preparation of Cable Routing Reports.
- Understanding of electrical standard installation details
Basic Job Requirements
• A combination of education in Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering and directly related experience equal to six (6) years ; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
• Practical field experience
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
