Job Description

Fluor is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager IV to provide overall site leadership and execution management for a multi-billion-dollar EPC Data Center project in Hawesville, Kentucky. This role is responsible for directing all field construction activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of a large-scale mission-critical facility, meeting project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction.

The Construction Site Manager IV will lead a multidisciplinary team of construction professionals, contractors, subcontractors, and craft personnel throughout all phases of project execution. This position requires extensive experience managing complex EPC projects involving civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and mission-critical infrastructure systems supporting advanced data center operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership and management of all site construction activities for a billion-dollar-plus EPC Data Center project.
  • Lead construction supervisors, field engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and craft labor to achieve project milestones safely and efficiently.
  • Drive Fluor's commitment to Zero Incidents through implementation of comprehensive safety programs and strong field safety leadership.
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with project specifications, construction drawings, contract requirements, quality standards, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Quality, and Commissioning teams to support integrated project execution.
  • Develop and implement construction execution strategies, staffing plans, and work plans to meet project schedules and productivity goals.
  • Monitor field productivity, workforce performance, and construction progress while proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact schedule or cost.
  • Lead field change management, risk mitigation, and issue resolution efforts.
  • Oversee installation of critical infrastructure systems including electrical distribution, substations, generators, UPS systems, cooling systems, controls, telecommunications, and other mission-critical systems.
  • Support commissioning, integrated systems testing, startup, turnover, and client acceptance activities.
  • Serve as the primary site interface with client representatives, suppliers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and project leadership.
  • Review and communicate construction progress, forecasts, performance metrics, and recovery plans as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.

Basic Job Requirements

    • Accredited four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 10 years of construction experience with significant leadership responsibility on large industrial, commercial, mission-critical, or EPC projects.
    • Demonstrated success managing large-scale field construction operations and multidisciplinary construction teams.
    • Strong working knowledge of construction execution, project controls, safety management, quality programs, workforce planning, and subcontract management.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with executives, clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
    • Willingness to work on-site in Hawesville, Kentucky, and support project-driven travel requirements as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience leading EPC Data Center, hyperscale, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced technology, or other major capital projects exceeding $1 billion in total installed cost.
  • Proven experience overseeing installation, commissioning, and startup of critical electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of data center commissioning, integrated systems testing, and project turnover processes.
  • Experience implementing Lean Construction, Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, CCM, PMP, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, construction management platforms, and project controls software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

This position will be primarily based at a major EPC Data Center construction site in Hawesville, Kentucky. The role requires a strong field presence and direct engagement with all construction activities to ensure successful project delivery and operational readiness of this world-class mission-critical facility.

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $166,500.00 - $309,500.00
