Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified Alternate Program Manager (APM) to support the execution of the Germany Logistics Support Services (LSS) contract. Working alongside the Program Manager, you will be a key leader responsible for the oversight and delivery of critical logistical support to U.S. and foreign military forces throughout the Bavaria training areas.
As a designated member of the Key Personnel, you will have full authority to act on behalf of the company, managing daily operations, ensuring contract compliance, and maintaining high performance standards for both prime and subcontractor activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Manage the daily operations of logistical support services, including dining facilities (DFAC), transportation of equipment/ammunition, and the deployment of MHE, portable showers, laundry units, and tentage.
- Contractual Authority: Act with full authority to obligate the company and make decisions on all contract matters.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company at all Government meetings and conferences; maintain professional relationships with the 7th Army Training Command (7ATC) and US Army - Europe (USAREUR).
- Performance Management: Ensure all services meet specified performance standards and Quality Control (QC) requirements across multiple training sites (GTA, HTA, ATA).
- Rapid Response: Lead the planning and execution of rapid-response requirements for un-programmed missions or changes in troop strength.
- Administrative Oversight: Oversee financial controls, material requisitioning, and the maintenance of complete records, including compliance with U.S., German, and local regulations.
Basic Job Requirements
Candidates must meet all "Key Personnel" requirements as defined by the Government contract:
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in managing logistics support contracts. This experience must have occurred within the last eight (8) years.
- Language Proficiency: Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Technical Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in managing diverse logistical functions such as distribution services, facility setup (tents/heaters/lighting), and material handling.
- Residency/Location: This is an on-site position requiring presence in the Bavaria region to attend daily operations and meetings.
