As we expand our presence within the Nuclear and Power sector in Romania, we are looking for a Construction Manager to help lead the successful delivery of our projects.

As a Construction Manager, you will oversee all on‑site construction activities, ensuring they are executed safely, on schedule, within scope, and to the highest standards. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and serve as the primary point of accountability at site.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and manage all site construction activities in alignment with project plans, specifications, and Fluor procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Drive ongoing risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate all functions on site (Safety, Quality, Engineering, Contracts, Site Services, etc.).
  • Maintain strong communication with project leadership, the client, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure work complies with project scope and applicable regulatory requirements.

Basic Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction and approx. 14 years of relevant experience
  • Strong technical understanding of EPC construction activities.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex work scopes.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluency in English and Romanian (spoken and written).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on Nuclear or Power Plant construction projects.
  • Prior experience in an EPC environment.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Solid understanding of Romanian and EU safety, construction, and labor regulations.
  • EU citizenship (preferred for project compliance and mobility requirements).
  • Proficiency in basic project and reporting software (MS Office, presentations, etc.).

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
