Job Description

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR), a Fortune 500 engineering, procurement, construction, fabrication and maintenance company, is looking to add a Senior Manager – Expatriate Tax Compliance. This position will be located at Fluor’s Corporate Headquarters in Irving, Texas and will require spending a majority of workdays in the office each week. This position will report to the Executive Director, Tax & General Tax Counsel.

The primary responsibilities for this position will include, but will not be limited to, the following: (i)  manage tax compliance globally with respect to expatriate host and home country tax obligations; (ii) advise on permanent establishment risk and secondment agreements related to project business trips and assignments; (iii) oversee tax equalization program in accordance with International Assignment Policy and Fluor Supplement 9 policies; (iv) oversee Fluor’s Big 4 global mobility tax engagement;  (v) oversee the Fluor business travel tracking program; (vi) assist in the recovery of expatriate cost from Fluor’s clients; and (vii) assist with expatriate cost estimates during project proposal and closeout phases.

Basic Job Requirements

• At least 15 years of total experience working in the global mobility tax practice at a Big 4 accounting firm and/or managing global mobility tax compliance at a large multinational corporation.

• Strong decision-making capabilities and technical tax skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and project leadership skills.

• Ability to work autonomously, yet keep Tax management informed of work progress and any unusual situations.

• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
