  • Produce and check engineering deliverables: 3D models, general arrangements, isometrics, piping support drawings, and material takeoffs.
  • Interpret P&IDs, engineering specifications, and vendor documents to create detailed piping designs.
  • Ensure compliance with ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), B31.3, API, NFPA, and company standards.
  • Work closely with stress engineers to incorporate flexibility, nozzle load requirements, and support systems.

2. EPCSpecific Responsibilities

  • Engineering Phase (E)
    • Support development of work-hour estimates, design execution plans, and staffing plans for piping design work.
    • Participate in layout studies, plant configuration decisions, and design optimization to meet cost and schedule targets.
    • Develop piping material specifications and specialty piping lists in collaboration with materials engineering.
    • Lead and/or participate in 30%, 60%, 90% and final model reviews with internal teams and clients.
    • Conduct interdisciplinary coordination with mechanical, civil/structural, electrical & I&C teams to prevent clashes and ensure constructability.
  • Procurement Phase (P)
    • Prepare technical requisitions for valves, specialty piping items, expansion joints, and piping components.
    • Review vendor drawings, datasheets, and engineering documents to ensure alignment with project requirements.
    • Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to clarify technical issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
    • Support creation of bills of material and provide accurate forecasted MTOs for procurement planning.
