Job Description
Basic Job Requirements
High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and must have 2 years experience as a supervisor within a shift or station.
Other Job Requirements
May be assigned to a day shift or night shift. Environments can be from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. All DoD military and civilian firefighters and employees of DoD contractors must be certified at the level for which they seek employment. Must be able to respond to rescue or fire alarms/notifications within 3 minutes. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Must possess a standard issue civilian drivers license. Minimum Certification Requirements: Firefighter I/II, Airport Firefighter, Hazardous Material (HazMat) Operations, HazMat Awareness, Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I, D/O Pumper and D/O Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Fire Officer II (Preferred), HazMat Incident Commander (Preferred), Telecommunicator I and II (Preferred), D/O Aerial, D/O Mobile Water Supply and other vehicles are determined locally based on duty assignments and the locally assigned vehicles, Marine Firefighter - Only required at FandES departments without an aircraft firefighting mission, Wildland Firefighting - Only required at FandES departments with a wildland firefighting mission, as defined by the DoD.
