Job Description

Food Service Admin Specialist manages documentation, scheduling, inventory, and reporting for dining facilities (DFACs) supporting military, contractors, or NGOs, handling tasks like timesheet verification, headcount data entry (AFMIS), calorie card prep, and ensuring compliance with food safety/procedures, crucial for logistical support in complex environments. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation & Reporting: Generating, filing, and tracking DFAC reports, timesheets, production schedules, and safety documentation (STA/JSA).
  • Data Management: Inputting headcount data into systems like AFMIS (Army Food Management Information System).
  • Inventory & Procurement: Controlling raw materials, managing inventory, and reviewing purchase requests.
  • Nutrition & Compliance: Preparing calorie cards, ensuring accuracy, and enforcing food safety standards (like USG 21-Day Menu).
  • Coordination: Liaising with supervisors, shift leads, and safety representatives. 

Basic Job Requirements

High school diploma / GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and Minimum of two (2) years related experience

Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data entry and management systems.
  • Understanding of food service operations and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work in multicultural settings and adapt to challenging condition
  • Must have ServSafe Certificate

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
