Senior Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities
• Administer the Contract in accordance with the applicable FIDIC Conditions of Contract, providing commercial and contractual support to the Engineer throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on variations, claims, payment applications, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, determinations, and final accounts.
• Advise the Engineer on contractual entitlements, risk allocation, dispute avoidance, and contractual compliance under FIDIC provisions.
• Lead the measurement, valuation, certification, and commercial assessment of the Works in accordance with the Contract requirements.
• Prepare and maintain contractual correspondence, records, cost reports, and documentation required for contract administration and claims management.
• Support negotiations and resolution of commercial and contractual matters between the Employer, Engineer, and Contractor.
• Monitor commercial risks, project costs, and contractual performance, providing timely recommendations to protect project objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Registered with the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM).
• Minimum 12 years' experience in quantity surveying, contract administration, and commercial management on major industrial, EPC, semiconductor, manufacturing, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in FIDIC contract administration, including payment certification, variations, claims evaluation, EOT assessment, determinations, and final account settlement.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contract provisions, claims management, dispute avoidance, commercial risk management, and contract compliance.
• PMC / Owner's Engineer experience and semiconductor project experience will be an added advantage.
• Membership of MRISM, RICS, or equivalent professional institution will be an added advantage.
• Malaysian candidate preferred.
