Job Description

The Senior Construction Technician job title is to be used primarily for engineering/construction management students working as interns. The position is intended to give an individual construction engineering experience by shadowing staff construction engineers over short periods of time. They may be involved in construction planning, Quality work and distribution of documents and data.  

• Under working general supervision of a construction engineer or a survey party chief, but with guided latitude for exercising independent judgment, perform various assignments of a construction engineering support nature, both technical and clerical

Assist in several engineering disciplines, if required

• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards

• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed

• Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to four (4) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic use of spreadsheets

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $59,000.00 - $111,000.00
