Job Description
Fluor is seeking an experience E&I Maintenance Technician to join our team at the EMD facility in Martin, SC. The EMD work site is conveniently located approximately 30 minutes from Barnwell, SC, 45 minutes from Aiken, SC, and 60 minutes from Augusta GA. The regular work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Local candidates preferred; per diem may be considered for non-local personnel.

Job duties include:
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a variety of instrumentation and electrical systems.
Install, repair, or replace instrumentation such as flow meters, pH probes, conductivity meters, temperature probes, automated valves, flow control valves, and more.
Maintain and repair power supply or control loops related to pump motors, conveyor motors, and agitator motors.
Read blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, ladder logic, and wiring schematics.
Ensure proper operation of lighting systems, HVAC units, HEPA fan units, electrical panels, and power distribution panels.
Repair, replace, adjust, and calibrate building and process controls systems equipment and instrumentation.
Identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve systems and communications problems to include repair/replacement of component level devices (e.g. I/O devices, modems, etc.)
Design and install minor electrical circuits for control and monitoring as required.
Perform Preventive Maintenance activities on existing controls equipment, including but not limited to: VFDs, lighting and emergency lighting systems, building automation systems for control of air handlers, utility plant operations systems, site utility monitoring systems, and site security monitoring systems. Perform Corrective Maintenance activities on systems that fail.
Support engineering/construction projects that modify or add to the controls equipment systems as needed, including supervising their testing, calibration, and commissioning.
Assist operations staff in the controls and operation of these systems including troubleshooting problems.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred.
10+ years of experience with maintenance and installation of instrumentation and controls systems required, preferably within an industrial manufacturing environment, a chemicals facility, or related industry.
Must have extensive experience with a variety of instrumentation, including Coriolis flow meters, pH probes, conductivity meters, temperature probes, level transmitters.
Must have proven ability to work on, repair, and troubleshoot automated valves, flow control valves, pump, conveyor, and agitator motors.
Must demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of controls systems including PLC (programmable logic controllers), pneumatic controls and the following types of controlled equipment: motors, pumps, valves, air handling units, variable frequency drives, and heat exchangers.
Must have knowledge and practical experience with calibration of field instrumentation (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow and level), electronics (e.g. testing, troubleshooting and calibrating), and electrical installations including 24V DC, 120V AC, 208V AC, 480V AC. Familiarity working in and around MCC rooms desired.
Must be able to work at heights, on ladders, or scaffolds, along with operating man-lifts including scissor lifts and boom lifts.
