The purpose of this position is to support corporate functions and business lines in winning new work, promoting accomplishments by aligning with company strategies and objectives, creating compelling value propositions, developing effective communications materials, and implementing good business administration and marketing practices. This position collaborates with corporate marketing functions and Fluor business lines to develop marketing strategies and incorporate into sales and marketing materials. This position typically has business line/functional lead management and coordination responsibilities and direct/indirect reporting relationships with Marketing Specialists and/or Marketing Technicians.
• Understand the comprehensive integrated solutions service offerings from conceptual design, detailed engineering, procurement, and construction to start up, commissioning, operations, maintenance, program management, consulting, and decommissioning
• Help individual business line and proposal teams develop strategic messaging for client submittals that will enable Fluor to be the successful bidder
• Conduct information gathering and market research activities by using internal company resources and databases, networking, Internet, or subscription sources to support marketing initiatives, expand industry and client knowledge, prepare responses to various client and corporate requests, and support other internal reporting needs
• Assist business line team members to create and implement communication and/or marketing plans to ensure effective promotion of Fluor’s integrated solutions in the marketplace
• Work with the individual business lines and their sales leadership to measure the results of implementing business development efforts
• Suggest continuous improvement to current work processes, marketing communication plans, and overall business activities, as appropriate
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in business, marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related discipline preferred
• Six (6) years experience in positions that provide a broad view of business, technical writing, project management, and/or industrial marketing
• Work experience in marketing and line experience in one or more functions is desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer and software skills and knowledge to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet, electronic presentation programs, Lotus Notes, and other marketing-related applications
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry practices and methodologies is desirable, but can be acquired through related work experience and/or external and internal education opportunities
