Job Description

The Construction Manager- Facilities – Plant & Industrial Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of site facilities and infrastructure at an operating industrial facility in Oxnard, CA. This role provides leadership and coordination for facility-related maintenance activities while managing subcontractors and internal general labor craft to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of work.

The Construction Manager- Facilities – Plant & Industrial Services serves as a key field and client interface, supporting ongoing facility operations through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and small facility improvement projects.

  • Provide overall coordination and management of facility maintenance activities, including buildings, utilities, and supporting infrastructure
  • Manage subcontractors and internal general labor craft performing facility-related work
  • Serve as the primary field interface between the client, contractors, and site leadership
  • Ensure all facility operations and maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and site-specific requirements
  • Plan, prioritize, and schedule facility maintenance work to support continuous site operations
  • Oversee execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for facility systems and assets
  • Monitor contractor performance, productivity, quality, and compliance; address issues promptly
  • Coordinate facility work with other site disciplines to minimize operational disruptions
  • Support small facility improvement projects, modifications, and upgrades as required
  • Track maintenance activities and communicate work status, risks, and issues to stakeholders

Basic Job Requirements

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Other Job Requirements

  • Experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision, or field operations within industrial, manufacturing, or heavy commercial environments
  • Strong working knowledge of facility systems, utilities, and building infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors and field craft labor
  • Experience supporting preventive and corrective maintenance programs in operating facilities
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and maintenance documentation
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and coordinate work safely in a field-based environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial or regulated facility environments
  • Background in mechanical, electrical, or building systems maintenance
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or work control systems
  • Experience supporting facility improvement or small capital projects

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $96,500.00 - $179,500.00
