Job Description
The Construction Manager – Electrical & Instrumentation Manager is responsible for providing field leadership and coordination for electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities at an operating industrial facility in Oxnard, CA. This role represents the client’s interests in the field by managing subcontractors and internal general labor craft to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all site, client, and company requirements.
The majority of work is maintenance-focused and supports the reliability, availability, and safe operation of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and control equipment within an active production environment.
- Provide day-to-day field management of electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and internal general labor craft performing E&I work
- Serve as the primary field interface between the client, contractors, and site leadership
- Ensure all E&I work complies with safety, electrical, and site-specific requirements
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Support maintenance of power distribution systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Monitor contractor performance, productivity, quality, and compliance; address deficiencies promptly
- Coordinate E&I work with other disciplines to minimize operational disruptions
- Support troubleshooting, repairs, and small modifications to electrical and instrumentation systems
- Communicate work status, risks, and issues to stakeholders
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and six (6) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten (10) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
- Experience in electrical and/or instrumentation management within industrial or manufacturing environments
- Strong working knowledge of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and control systems
- Experience managing subcontractors and field craft labor
- Experience supporting maintenance programs in operating facilities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and specifications
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with industrial instrumentation, controls, and automation systems
- Electrical license, journeyman background, or instrumentation certification
- Experience in regulated or safety-sensitive environments
- Familiarity with CMMS or work control systems

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

Salary Range: $96,500.00 - $179,500.00
