Job Description
Summary
Assists technicians with general maintenance work on a variety of facilities equipment and systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assists with general maintenance work to develop maintenance skillset.
- Assist mechanics with preventive maintenance (PM’s) and client/proactive work orders.
- Performs general housekeeping duties in the work areas and shop.
- Complies with all Fluor Corporation safety requirements and programs.
Education & Experience
- Education: must be enrolled in applicable degree program at RCTC and be eligible for Employer Co-op opportunities
- Ability to complete heavy physical labor (pushing, pulling, lifting objects up to 50 lbs.)
- Have basic knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, plumbing, chilled water, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Have basic knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical equipment and tools
- Appropriate communication skills
- Ability to interface with customers as needed
- Basic computer skills
