Job Description
The Supervisor, Human Resources will be a project site-based position, managing several functions including employee relations, recruiting, and general human resources responsibilities.
Responsibiities include the following:
• Interact and support department managers and Human Resource employees
• Maintain a close working relationship with discipline management to ensure that services are properly executed and the needs of the company are met
• Establish relationship with direct manager and colleagues as an expert in respective field
• Coordinate with direct manager to provide solutions for discipline specific issues related to overall company initiatives
• May function as a team leader for discipline specific initiatives
• Work with manager to direct specific initiatives for communication, training and metrics related to discipline
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
- Project site Human Resources experience
- Experience facilitating employee benefits questions
- Demonstrable experience managing employee concerns
- Coordination of employee onboarding and offboarding
Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, or related field, with significant experience in Human Resources
• Advanced degree or global equivalent preferred
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, or applicable HR accreditation
• Problem solving, communication, judgment, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
• Knowledge of cultures and cross-cultural collaboration
• Ability to build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers
• Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
• Experience providing consultation to managers and HR staff about HR strategy and program implementation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
• Broad knowledge of internal database applications for designated discipline
