Job Description

These positions execute technical and functional responsibilities related to Quality support activities on project assignments and administrative functions (i.e., planning, organizing, interpreting, coordinating, and executing division or project assignments).  This position may serve as the Deputy Site Project Quality Manager for medium- to large-sized projects, if necessary.

• Communicate effectively at all levels order to maintain liaison with individuals and units within or outside the department or project structures

• Employ decision-making authority and recommendations that have a significant impact on regional Quality policies and programs 

• Serve as the project Quality Representative on medium to large projects, if necessary

• Prepare project audit schedules, discipline activity plans for the quality function, and audit reports (internal and external), noting non-conformances and verifying effective corrective action

• Assist in developing an orientation program to ensure that the project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan; including other Quality matters, if required

• Act as lead Quality auditor and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

​​​​​​• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and fourteen (14) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eighteen (18) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

 

CWB welding inspection with endorsements in ASME B 31.3, CSA Z662 Pipelines, ASME Section VIII and IX and CSA W59/ W47.1 Structural Steel.

Association for Material Protection and Performance (AMPP) Coatings inspection certificate

• Auditor certification by outside agency (e.g., Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB), American Society for Quality (ASQ), International Quality Associates (IQA), etc.) preferred 

• Twelve (12) years of related Quality/project experience- Potash mine experience would be an asset

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Good leadership and decision-making skills


•This position is based on our project site near Leroy Saskatchewan on a 14/7 rotation.  If the candidate is based outside the 85 kms radius from the project, you will be required to stay in the project camp

Compressed work schedule: The Fluor Canada offices work a compressed work schedule offering every second Friday off. 

 

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
