Job Description
• Primary owner of intelligence for rotating equipment categories, suppliers, pricing trends, market outlook, forecasting, and other market variables that affect the supply chain.
• Accountable for building strong value-adding relationships with other disciplines viz. Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction across various Business Lines.
• Develop procurement strategy for rotating equipment and material.
• Supplier Relationship Management, which includes all major global/regional manufacturers and distributors.
• Identify supply chain metrics for supplier classification.
• Identification and development of suppliers.
• Development of quarterly material market bulletin covering the trend in Electrical categories and commodities.
• Review and provide recommendations to bidder lists with a focus on providing a viable solution as per project requirements.
• Evaluate bid tabs with a focus on ownership cost and schedule ensuring commercial and technical compliance.
• Assist with category-related project/supplier problem resolution.
• Data maintenance to support cost analytics tool.
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twelve (12) to seventeen (17) years of work-related experience; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
