Job Description
Purchasing
• Maintain the highest ethical standards of Material Management professional responsibility
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Work effectively within multi-functional, culturally and regionally diverse project team
• Prepare and Issue RFQ bidder lists and RFQs
• Review and understand project Terms and Conditions
• Negotiate terms and conditions and other commercial attributes with suppliers
• Prepare bid tabulations for equipment and bulk commodities
• Participate in all task force meetings
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and change orders• Coordinate, record Bid Opening meeting, and chair Clarification meetings
• Ensure timely submittal and processing of supplier invoices
• Handle Purchase Order Closeout
Expediting
• Proactively manage suppliers and sub-suppliers to ensure delivery schedules are maintained
• Expedite timely submittal/return of engineering documents, delivery of sub-vendor material and fabrication activities to track contractual delivery schedule
• Promote swift detection and resolution of potential issues at the earliest possible stage, so a Recovery Plan can be implemented
• Timely and accurate update of approved material management reference system schedules and expediting notes
• Facilitate regular meetings/teleconferences with Supplier, Client, Procurement, Engineering
• Coordinate with Warehousing, Purchasing, Planning, and Logistics to address/reconcile Overages, Shortages, and Damages (OSD) and Material and Equipment Deficiency Notification (MEDN) claims
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three (3) to 10 years of work-related experience.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English (read, write, and speak)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
