Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment activities to attract, assess, and hire top talent across a wide variety of departments from Engineering, Supply Chain, Administration, and more. This role serves as a trusted recruitment partner to department managers, building strong relationships and providing guidance throughout the hiring process. This position manages a diverse portfolio of requisitions, delivers exceptional candidate experience, and supports organizational talent acquisition objectives through effective sourcing strategies, and recruitment operations
In addition, this role leads campus recruitment efforts by partnering with Vancouver and Calgary department managers to assess annual new graduate and student hiring targets, develop and manage recruitment budgets, coordinate attendance at career fairs and campus events, new graduate resume screening, and participate in candidate interviews.
Primary Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, compensation negotiations, and offer creation.
- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with hiring manager and their support organizations
- Partner with department managers to discuss project requirements, hiring needs, and recruitment strategies.
- Ensure recruitment activities are completed in a timely manner while maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, candidate evaluation, and salary calculations.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in SuccessFactors.
- Review offer letters to ensure compliance with employment legislation, organizational policies, and compensation guidelines.
- Support recruitment audits, data management activities, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure recruitment documentation is maintained in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in special projects related to recruitment and talent acquisition programs.
Campus Recruitment
- Utilize university job boards, social media platforms, networking events, employee referrals, and direct sourcing techniques to attract qualified candidates.
- Build and maintain relationships with local universities and career services teams to support talent attraction initiatives.
- Coordinate and participate in career fairs, information sessions, resume review workshops, mock interviews, and student engagement events.
- Attend career fairs in-person across Western Canada during the campus period.
- Partner with Calgary and Vancouver department managers to assess annual student and new graduate hiring targets.
- Develop and manage annual campus recruitment budgets, including travel and career event expenses. (merch, hotels, flights, meals, etc).
- Coordinate and post student and new graduate opportunities.
- Participate in candidate screening and selection activities for campus recruitment programs, including interviews.
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• One (1) to five (5) years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or staffing.
• Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple job classifications.
• Experience utilizing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment technologies.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment best practices, and interviewing methodologies.

- CPHR membership would be considered an asset
- Experience recruiting for corporate, operational, technical, or specialized positions.
- Experience supporting campus recruitment and early career talent programs.
- Experience with passive candidate sourcing techniques.
This is a contractor position.
