Job Description

*** Active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with Poly Clearance ***

Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment to buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and drywall/masonry work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing light bulbs, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; replacing damaged ceiling tiles/components, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, replacing HVAC filters/belts, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery. Position requires the ability to assist other trades as necessary to include HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Make minor carpentry, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
• Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of various systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and make modifications of premises and equipment
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Order and maintain parts as needed.
• Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
• Properly maintain and safeguard assets.
• Maintain a high quality of service at all times.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well on a team.
• Self-motivated and self-starter.
• Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements

• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner *These are the typical years of experience required for this job. Other Job Requirements

• Active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with Poly Clearance
• Possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (50 pounds), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, may experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to assist other trades
• Available to work after-hours and preform snow removal.

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
